We have an exciting opportunity for a Heart Walk Fundraising Director to work out of our Nashville Office. Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and selling one of our major events, the annual Heart Walk.

Responsibilities Include:
. Setting and meeting aggressive fundraising goals
. Securing corporate sponsorships and employee fundraising teams
. Recruiting and coaching corporate and community volunteers and committee members
. Interacting with executive level corporate leaders
. Daily travel throughout the Nashville Market area.

Required Experience

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Minimum of 2 years experience in fund raising or outside sales position that involves building and maintaining sales relationship, OR
2. Bachelor's degree in related field or supplemented with additional work experience
3. Possess strong selling and negotiation skills.
4. Knowledge and demonstrated ability to successfully identify, cultivate, recruit, and maintain relationships with top level volunteers from identified companies.
5. Demonstrated skills in fundraising or successful outside sales.
6. Proven ability to understand and navigate corporate cultures to achieve goals.
7. Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication at all organizational levels.
8. Ability to plan and conduct meetings.
9. Valid driver's license, proof of at least minimum state required automobile liability insurance and ability and willingness to travel as position demands.
10. Ability to work outside standard hours as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends.
11. Ability to use Microsoft products, computer software, run reports and maintain accurate data.
12. Satisfactory background checks including consumer credit, motor vehicle, and criminal history.

NOTE: Preference to be given to those with prior professional fundraising experience and/or knowledge of the Nashville business market.
