For the past nine years, Amy Waldman has served as Coordinator of the ACCESS Program for Displaced Homemakers at Milwaukee Area Technical College. Amy is currently studying to work toward a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science while offering advice, counseling and support for the individuals within her network.

ACCESS for Displaced Homemakers program promotes the employability of those who are displaced from homemaking due to widowhood, divorce, separation, incarceration, war or disability of a spouse or for those who have lost or will soon lose spousal or state support. The programs are funded through state-funded grants awarded to technical colleges and/or local private, non-profit organizations in order to provide a broad array of employment and training services. Such services include career exploration, vocational counseling, job search activities and follow-up services.
