The Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery, at the University of New Mexico is seeking a full-time academic vascular surgeon. This position is being recruited at open rank and open track and will support every aspect of Vascular Surgery. Appointment and salary will be commensurate with level of experience.
The University of New Mexico has a well-rounded vascular surgery practice with five full time and one part time vascular surgeon. Practice encompasses all aspects of vascular surgery with robust programs for complex open and endovascular aortic reconstructions, ECMO and PE interventions, thoracic outlet syndrome, limb salvage and dialysis access. We also have an on-site vein clinic that the new faculty will be expected to participate in. The hospital has a state of the art GE Discovery hybrid operating room currently with access to CV cath lab and outpatient surgery suites. A brand-new hospital tower is under construction which will have two GE Alia hybrid operating rooms expected to be completed in fall of 2024. The University of New Mexico is also the only Level I trauma Center in the state with approximately 3,500 admissions yearly with both vascular and trauma surgeons participating in care of vascular trauma patients.
