Requisition ID req25033 Working Title Medical Education Prog Asst 2 Position Grade 09 Position Summary The Office of Education, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a Medical Education Program Assistant 2 to support all aspects of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. This position is responsible for providing support to the Program Specialist, Program Manager and be a first point of contact for residents, students, and faculty for the Education division. The Medical Education Program Assistant 2 will be responsible for organizing, setting- up, and cleaning-up after weekly events such as Thursday School, Grand Rounds, and Afternoon Report. They will also support the program manager in compiling information and tracking for annual reports, and other compliance data requirements. Will work with the program specialist to coordinate recruitment dates and materials, leave requests, process reimbursements, arrange travel, event planning, order supplies, and monitor resident progress through the residency program. The Medical Education Program Assistant will also be responsible for answering phones and responding other inquiries for the Education division. They will also provide support and back-up for the Undergraduate Medical Education Program Clerkship on an as needed basis. The successful candidate will have exceptionally strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.

This is a high priority position for a complex and active unit within Internal Medicine.

This position is an integral part of the Residency Program. They provide daily assistance to residents and faculty as well as help the residency program run. They are greatly needed to assist with the upcoming events and daily tasks.

Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple complex components of a program.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness at working in a team environment and supporting fellow employees in their work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple computer software applications and be confident in learning new systems.
