Areas of Responsibilities:
  • Product presentations to Engineering Firms
  • Assist Engineers with technical data
  • Assist Engineers with specification development
  • Review public bid projects requiring equipment TP Pump can supply
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  • Evaluate possible areas for potential value engineering cost savings.
  • Participate in preconstruction interviews and scope review with clients.
  • Prepare detailed listing of material and equipment items for the estimate and to obtain quotes.
  • Work with TP Pump Vendors to solicit accurate quotes for required equipment in a timely manner, which allows for time to review before bid date.
  • Review quotes for completeness and conformance with plans and specs.
  • Create proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects.
  • Send quote bidding contractors
  • Answer bidding contactor questions
  • After the successful bid and acceptance of contractor Purchase Order, meet with the Inside Sales Team at TP Pump to fully explain job scope, potential areas of attention and other aspects for the successful transition of the project.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 4 years' estimating, or experience with Industrial/Water Treatment process instrumentation and control systems.
  • Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering design drawings.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities as necessary.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
