Position Summary:

Provides assistance to physician during endoscopy cases by preparing endoscopy unit with appropriate supplies and equipment, performing necessary patient positioning, passing instruments to physician during procedures, and cleaning of unit prior to procedure. Provides service to patient throughout the life span including adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience: At least one (1) year experience in the operating room, endoscopy or other related field within an acute care facility.
  • Certification/Licensure: Current BLS certification required.

For New hires: BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification.

Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
