Requisition ID req26520 Working Title Compliance Asst Position Grade 11 Position Summary

The University of New Mexico Transportation Safety Center (TSC) seeks a qualified individual to serve as a Compliance Asst. responsible for compliance monitoring across New Mexico. The Compliance Asst will conduct monitor visits and record reviews throughout the year for Driver Education Schools, DSS Schools, and Ignition Interlock service centers. The Compliance Asst. will also investigate complaints and issues around Drivers Education Schools, as well as keeping the Correspondence Driving School Program up to date. This position requires in-state travel.

UNM TSC is a collaboration with the New Mexico Department of Transportation , Traffic Safety Division, working together to implement programs in Drivers Education, Traffic Safety, and Ignition Interlock technologies.

Conditions of Employment
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and follow NMDOT NMAC rules for Transportation Safety programs, NM Traffic Law, NM Uniform Licensing Act, NM Driving School Licensing Act, NM State Statues, and Federal Regulations.
  • Previous experience with compliance monitoring, Risk Assessment and Risk mitigation.
