Position Summary

Operates ultrasound equipment to produce images and physiologic data of internal organs and tissues for use by physicians in the diagnosis of disease. Provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum Education: Graduate of Approved Program of Ultrasound/Sonography, or equivalent.
    • Minimum Experience: New graduate from an approved educational program, but prefer at least one year experience.
    • Certification/Licensure: ARDMS Registered, or if new graduate must be ARDMS eligible and pass a test in at least one area (i.e. Abdomen, OBGYN) including physics within one year of employment. Must be CPR certified.

Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
