Job Summary

TYLin is seeking a Design Compliance Manager to join TYLin's PMCM Sector.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Design Compliance Team of Discipline Leads, manage the PMC review processes for milestone and submittal deliverables from the Design-Builder.

  • Lead coordination and oversight with the Designer of Record to meet the project's design criteria and contract requirements.

  • Provide the Design-Builder with best practices to develop their project plan in review of the structure of the Design Units.

  • Review of complex PRDCs, General Requirements and experience with Requirements Management Tables.

  • Manage the Design Unit distribution, review and comments process including coordination of all disciplines (internally and externally), facilitating the comment resolution process culminating in sign-off from multiple agency departments and assisting to obtain the construction permit.

  • Review and provide recommendations to clients regarding alternate design proposals.

  • Provide technical oversight of the overall design efforts with a multi-disciplinary team including subconsultants. Communicate the Design-Builder's submissions as needed to clarify scopes of work included in each Design Unit.

  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to the client and design-builder for all design issues, submissions and RFIs within contract-required durations.

QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture required.

  • State of New York P.E. license or Architectural Registration (RA / AIA) required with at least 12+ years' experience in rail design and construction engineering.

  • OSHA 30, Scaffold Training (4-hour online class) and NYC Transit Track Safety Training to be completed within 3 months of hire.

  • DBIA, PMP and CCM certifications are a plus.

  • Successful track record and extensive experience in design management for multidisciplinary projects.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $179,900 - $215,900 annually for this position and local market.
