Position Overview

Position Summary:
Eastern New Mexico University is seeking doctoral applicants for a full time faculty member beginning January 2024. This is a 10-month tenure-track position with Assistant or Associate professor rank (dependent on experience) with possible extended contract and/or summer employment options. Academic rank, salary, and other duty eligibility will be commensurate with education and experience.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include teaching primarily graduate and possible undergraduate courses in CDIS and/or supervising graduate student clinicians in SLP. Service, research and other scholarly activity expectations will be determined by academic rank. The faculty member will be expected to assist with ASHA accreditation compliance as assigned, and to participate in regular program, departmental, and university activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Preference will be given to faculty with experience in research.

Minimum Job Requirements:
The candidate should present: 1) CCC-SLP; 2) Earned doctorate (Ph.D or Ed.D preferred); 3) at least two years of CDIS practice experience; and 4) eligibility for NM licensure as SLP.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Applicants must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and commitment to excellence in teaching students of diverse backgrounds.

Working Conditions

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
