Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking an ONSITE C#, .NET Junior Software Application Developer to provide support to the Department of Energy Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) Contract located in Carlsbad, New Mexico. You will be working closely with the Customer, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, and other developers for designing, coding, testing, and implementing software solutions using C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC Core, and Entity Framework Core with a Microsoft SQL Server backend.

    Additionally, you will help maintain existing legacy applications and custom developed integrations between various commercial systems.

The position requires the ability to provide proof of US Citizenship on employment to obtain a DOE HSPD-12 Badge in accordance with the terms of the contract.

Responsibilities
  • Write secure, clean, scalable, and efficient code using C# and ASP.NET MVC Core.
  • Provide attention to detail, strong interpersonal communication, training, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team and professionally interface with all levels of federal management, stakeholders, and administrative personnel.
  • Document and manage work in a hybrid agile environment.
  • Pursue professional development to stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in software development.
Qualifications
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
  • RESIDE NEAR CARLSBAD, NEW MEXICO OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE
  • Must have a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent, and at least two years of relevant experience in Information Technology. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in C#, .NET, and ASP.NET MVC Core
    • Familiar with Entity Framework and Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Familiar with front-end technologies HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be well organized, a good communicator, able to effectively prioritize tasks, and manage your projects from concept to production.
  • Must be motivated, independent, and self-sufficient.
  • Able to receive an assigned task and see it through to completion with minimal supervision.
Preferred Technical Skills
  • Experience with C#, .NET, and ASP.NET MVC Core.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns such as dependency injection and clean architecture
  • Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services (SSRS & SSIS).
  • Familiar with Business Intelligence, Power BI, and Data visualization.
  • Familiar with front-end technology Vue.js and Blazor or in-depth experience with related frameworks.
  • Experience with the JavaScript ecosystem such as Node.js, NPM.
  • Experience with building data integrations/interfaces between systems.
  • Experience with message bus architecture, job queues, scheduled tasks, and microservices is a plus.
  • Experience with SharePoint, SharePoint Development, and SPFX is a huge plus.
