MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Training and Experience:
Must have experience working in a dynamic high stress environment (i.e. real world military or civilian ATC, or TACP experience).
Must have at least one of the following:
- One (1) year of Air Traffic Control experience.
- Two (2) years of experience as a professional aviator communicating with ATC and Radar Approach Control RAPCON.
General Skills: Must be able to multi-task and coordinate with multiple other units on a daily basis.
Computer Skills: Familiarity with MQ-9 TACSITs, mIRC, and normal government software (i.e. Microsoft Office products) and hardware (i.e. military computer procedures and SCIF procedures) desired but not required.
Security Clearance: Must maintain a minimum of Secret security clearance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide real time communications support for only ATD or DTT events.
- Maintain a constant presence during the execution of the scheduled mission events in order to provide real-time tactical communications as directed by the instructor or CT crew in accordance with the SEAL.
- Inject pre-planned inputs taken from scripts provided by the Government via voice communications (radio) and MIRC.
- Simulate Air Traffic Control (ATC) that normally interacts with RPA mission crews as detailed in the mission scenario dance cards and instructor pilot/sensor guidance.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
