Join a fast paced team in providing nutritionally sound meals to young children. Responsibilities include:
-Working with a team to serve meals to approximately 250 children, three times per day;
-Coordinating meal service with kitchen personnel and classroom staff;
-Participating in meal preparation, cooking, service and clean-up;
-Ordering supplies as necessary;
-Participating in required trainings and workshops, Center events, and functions.
This is a term, full-time, benefits eligible position upon the date of hire.
High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Training directly
related to food production
Experience:
-Working in a commercial kitchen
-Attending to daily maintenance of kitchen equipment
-Implementing USDA Food Program policies and procedures
-Directly relating to food handling, preparation and customer service
-Maintaining required Environmental Health and generally-accepted food industry
