Requisition ID req29121 Working Title Unit Administrator 1- ARC Position Grade 11 Position Summary

Accessibility Resource Center is seeking a Unit Administrator. The Unit Administrator 1 position is an essential component of this Program and will provide communication, coordination, and oversight to ensure operational productivity is met. Oversees all day-to-day internal and external finance and human resources activities. Manages or coordinates facility and resource management, information services, and general department administration. May supervise or provide functional leadership to one or more subordinate support staff engaged in routine administrative activities.

  • Supervise and oversee the daily operations of ARC, including answering phones, greeting students, scheduling appointments, problem-solving student issues, departmental emails
  • Ability to analyze, develop, establish, and maintain efficient office workflow and administrative processes.
  • Supervise and oversee ARC in-house accommodations unit to ensure ADA compliance - create new student files, maintain/update current student files, retrieve files as needs for support staff, oversee the organization and security of the file room
  • Supervise student employees
  • Manage ARC student files to ensure FERPA compliance, oversee and organize student files; ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures
  • Coordinate workshops, seminars, special projects, and training operations logistics.

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 1 year of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with sensitive information and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Direct experience working with students with disabilities
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act and how it applies to UNM
