Type: Full-Time
Shift: Tues-Fri, 11am-7pm
Wage: $14-15/hr starting
Location: Avamere at Rio Rancho - 1000 Riverview Drive SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with preparing and serving meals to residents in a timely manner andassist the kitchen staff with cleaning at the end of each meal.
Responsibilities:
- Setup meal trays, food carts and the dining room
- Ensure that food, menus and supplies for the next meal are readily available
- Assist in daily cleaning duties, such as worktables and areas, refrigerators, etc.
- Retrieve dishes from the dining room, wash, and clean utensils, and return them to their proper storage areas
- Keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazardous materials
- Assist Cooks in preparing meals
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High-School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a food handlers' card
- Experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred
- Must have knowledge of sanitation and food safety procedures and rules
- Ability to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination preferred, but not required
