UNM-Taos Film and Digital Media Arts Department invites applicants for a part-time Multimedia Services Technician position. This position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various projects within the Film and Digital Media Arts Program. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong project management skills, a deep understanding of film and digital media production processes, and the ability to collaborate with faculty, students, and external partners. The position will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of diverse film and digital media projects, contributing to the department's excellence.
This will be a part-time position renewed annually based on performance and funding.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Skills:
* Experience in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets for film and digital media projects.
* Proficiency in coordinating resources, including equipment, personnel, and facilities, to ensure successful project execution.
* Ability to align project goals with academic objectives and curricular requirements in collaboration with faculty.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with faculty, students, and external partners.
Resource Management:
* Manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated appropriately.
* Coordinate equipment and facility usage, optimizing resources for multiple concurrent projects.
* Identify and secure external funding opportunities for special projects and initiatives.
Quality Assurance
* Monitor and ensure the quality of film and digital media projects, adhering to industry standards and creative excellence.
* Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve project outcomes.
Communication and Distribution
* Create movie posters, web page graphics and press releases to highlight the various multimedia projects.
* Capability to assist with events, demos, and recruitment events, showcasing the work of the Film and Digital Media Arts team.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in film and digital media production.
