Job Description

Come grow with us! Georgia Pacific has an immediate need for an Administrative Assistant to support various capabilities (R&D, Product Compliance, Technical Services, Quality, Facilities, etc.) at the Building Products Decatur Technical Center (DTC) in Decatur, GA (just outside of Atlanta, GA). The successful candidate must have the following:

  • Provide general clerical/administrative support for leadership and various capabilities at the site.
  • Provide support scheduling and coordinating meetings, includes setting up logistics and lunch for employees, visitors, etc.
  • Interact with individuals at all levels within/outside the organization (First Point of Contact at the site - greet visitors/guests)
  • Provide administrative support for personnel onboarding (I-9), transactions (name badges), etc.
  • Manage the site's ordering system and serve as the main contact for all non-Purchase Order related inquiries.
  • Handle miscellaneous data requests: scanning and uploading various documents, procedures, and reports, etc.
  • Manage our site's social media content and partner with our Marketing group on various projects.
  • Basic IT knowledge with various software, printers, etc.

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Outlook - scheduling, Word- document creation/editing and PowerPoint - presentation creation/editing
  • Experience in an administrative support role
  • Experience in an administrative type of role with responsibilities involving sensitive material and proven ability to maintain high confidentiality

  • SharePoint, Customer service and procurement experience
