• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide services based on the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and other related criteria appropriate population in his/her assigned area

• Complies with set Policies and Procedures (i.e. name tag, dress code, parking, smoking, etc.)
• Demonstrates knowledge base of medical supplies used in the Anesthesia department.
• Maintenance, ordering, stocking of supplies, maintain anesthesia carts, epidural cart, malignant hyperthermia cart, and difficult airway cart per par level and in a timely manner.
• Between cases clean and set up appropriate anesthesia equipment and supplies needed for cases: Monitors, arterial lines, I.V. setups, circuits and masks, suction liners, tubing and tips, blood administration equipment and heated blood circuits, triple transducers, invasive monitoring lines and equipment.
• Removes broken equipment from use and takes appropriate steps to ensure equipment is repaired.
• Cleans and restocks all airway emergency anesthesia carts and supplies.
• Able to respond appropriately in an emergency situation.
• Practice universal precautions involving all patient care. Handle and dispose of sharps and biological matter appropriately.
• Assures equipment is in operating order prior to use.
• Obtains necessary training prior to initial equipment use.
• Uses medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer's operating guidelines
